How it works
USDA Guaranteed loans help moderate-income households buy in eligible areas — and many fast-growing Florida suburbs still qualify. Two gates apply: the property address must be in an eligible area, and total household income must be under the county limit. The guarantee fees are lower than FHA mortgage insurance.
A good fit for
- Buyers in eligible areas outside major city centers
- Moderate-income households with little saved for a down payment
- First-time buyers in Polk, Lake, Marion, and similar counties
What to watch for
- Income of everyone in the household counts toward the limit
- Primary residence only
- Eligible maps can change — confirm the exact address
What to prepare
- Income for every adult in the household
- Two years of tax returns
- Bank statements
- The exact property address
